PRESS RELEASE

Oregon man sues Google for sex discrimination

Today we filed a lawsuit on behalf of an Oregon man who says Google fired him because he complained of sexual harassment in the workplace.

Our client, Britt Storkson, says that while working at Google’s data center in Oregon, a manager at Google unzipped his pants in front of him when they were alone in a meeting room. While employed at Google, Storkson says he witnessed sex toys, graphic sexual discussions, and drunkenness in the workplace. Google fired him shortly after he filed a formal complaint about what he believed to be illegal sexual harassment. Before filing this lawsuit, Storkson took a polygraph test from a retired Oregon State Police examiner. The results concluded that Storkson was being truthful about his allegations. Storkson says the day before he was fired, Google human resources told him that one of his complaints was not credible for the sole reason that the offender was “straight”.

“Our first priority is getting our client his job back,” says attorney Michael Fuller, whose firm represents Storkson. “Google needs to be held to the same standards when it comes to sexual harassment, whether the victim is a man or a woman. Google has a history of tolerance for everything except when it comes to straight men.”

Michael gave us the courage to sue our mortgage company and secured a six figure settlement. Don’t be bullied — hire an attorney to stop illegal collections.

It seems unheard of to have anyone be so generous without asking for compensation. I can’t say enough about the character you’ve shown. Blessings from all of us who believe in what is right.

When [Mr. Fuller] is on the job, I’m not too concerned that [his] opponents are going to be able to get away with much.
